SIGNS

Shinkansen

Found this on the ceiling in the station. The image on the right apparently refers to the Shinkansen (or the Bullet Train, a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan), letting know that the gate of it is in the direction the arrow indicates.  Despite there being other lines at work like the conventional lines that connect the local stations, a sign for the Shinkansen is specially put up there (along with the toilet sign), so as to help the tourists who, thanks to the high-speed trains, come from far away areas and so are not familiar with this place, find the way back to the gate.

I also added a photo I took in the university campus today. Since there is the underground passage we can choose to walk through, snow wasn't cleared away at all.
