Amaryllis

Mum has this amaryllis on her windowsill in the kitchen.  When I arrived almost 2 weeks ago it was a stong, upright stem with 2 leaves and 2 tight buds that just showed their ruby-redness.  Now, 2 weeks later, they're beautiful, fully blossomed,  blooms..................and Mum is still in hospital.  I had hoped she'd be home to see them bloom.  Not so.  And now it's the weekend, she's facing another 2 days in there, minimum.
