El Dorado Gold Dredge

Our friend took us gold panning this morning not far from Beechworth. We stopped on the way at El Dorado where there is an old gold dredge.. See here http://parkweb.vic.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0009/314568/Park-note-Eldorado-Dredge.pdf for information.
It started to rain about 1/2 hour after we started and we had to run to the car to take cover. When it slowed down we went back to retrieve our pans and ended up trying our hand at it for another hour or so. Talk about addictive! We didn't find much but every pan had a few specks in it which was enough to keep us going. When we were soaking wet and starting to feel cold we chucked it in and drove back home for a hot shower and cup of tea.
