It is Friday

This is Jim Collins on the right with an immensely concentrating frown as he produces great sounds from his tenor sax.  To the left is Freddie Garner on keyboards, leading his Quintet.  Freddie never has music in front of him and I just get mesmerised as his fingers flash back and fore on the keyboard. With them were Phil Bennet on drums and Dave on bass.  Another great weekly gathering of the faithfulls to listen to this brilliant jazz as well as to reflect on happenings in Kendal and the rest of the world!
