Yikes! Locked in!

Well, madchickenwoman has just left to make her journey back home and I'm missing her already, although she's left a few things as reminders of her stay here with Tilly - just the odd bit of straw and bags of chicken poop in my kitchen....... :))

This is yesterday's blip - hopefully I'll post today's later when I've caught up with myself - I don't like blipping a day behind but we've been having such a great time and taken so many photos that it has proved too difficult a task to keep up!

We had a slower start, having been up and out for two frosty sunrises and, besides, the day was much warmer and greyer. The trip today was to Kingston Lacy - a lovely National Trust property. There was an exhibition on in a couple of rooms (the rest of the house is shut up for the winter), early snowdrops and cyclamen in the gardens and a kitchen garden full of interesting scarecrows which we both very much enjoyed photographing. Unfortunately, when we went to leave the kitchen garden, we were greeted by the sight in my blip - yikes! An emergency phone call later, a groundsman turned up in his buggy to release us and gave us a lift back to the car in his buggy - what a gent and what a relief!

Lastly we headed back to the harbour to return the slipper limpets to the sea (you can read that story in mcw's journal here). Anyway, that gave me the opportunity to try some night photography, now that I have a tripod - I was quite pleased with these first attempts, so I've included a couple as extras, as well as a mono version of the main image, as suggested by SarumStroller.

Life is never dull with mcw around......

Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments, stars and hearts for yesterday's Spikes of Ice blip - now on Page One! :))
