Not The Whole Story

The barometer does not tell the whole story, while its temperature, pressure and humidity figures are correct, the temperature and humidity figures are those in our entrance hall, although the pressure will be valid. 
The outside conditions here are chilly, wet and becoming windier.  It has recently been freezing, but now should warm up a little bit more, over the next two or three days and should be drier, making it much more pleasant. At least that is my interpretation of the synoptic charts for the next day or so; the barometer can not tell the whole story.  Because of today’s weather, I have avoided going outside and have been listening to some background music, while trying to catch up on my reading in what is still a fairly chilly house.
