Elephant in the Mara

We have taken so many photos that is difficult to decide what to choose as my blip! We had an early start again, the alarm clock set for 5:30 am so we could see sunrise on the mara, and we had a picnic breakfast under a tree.
Elephants are my favourite. Their life span is similar to humans, the children stay with their mothers like humans until they mature, also at a similar age. They go through 6 sets of teeth and them usually die of starvation at the age of 65 years. Another remarkable fact is that they communicate from up to 8 km away, which is not audible to humans.
