Poynton memoires...
I went for a Sunday morning walk to Waitrose as it's a pleasant day, and have been looking for interesting things to blip.
As I came out of Waitrose I noticed this lovely tiled mural on their wall which depicts the history of Poynton.
Poynton used to be a farming and coal mining village, and you can see the coal shaft and the miners together with the farmers on this mural. Plus the village church, and in the background an old hall which is no longer here.
Recently, Poynton has received a town status and now has it's own Mayor.
It's a 'shared-space' town, but I will save that for another day and another blip!
