Too icy to swim!

Although it was freezing, the sun tempted me out for a walk by the canal.  I am trying to walk every day but also  avoid hills.  Living so near to the canal is the answer.  Normally the ducks dive into the water when you approach, but with a thin layer of ice on the canal they obviously decided to stay put.  My only threat was the camera.
