Edinburgh View

A quick visit to Craigwell Cottage this morning to get things ready for our next guests. Summer holidays are a busy time for me, juggling looking after the children full time with keeping my two businesses going.

As the children get older, it's a little easier as they are able to amuse themselves with less supervision. Although this summer the challenges are to get one out of bed at anything approaching a pre-noon hour, and the other one from playing computer games all day. The latter will be resolved this week by morning golf lessons, which start tomorrow.

The view in the photograph is one I enjoy seeing: the contrasts between the Royal Residence on the left - The Palace of Holyroodhouse where the Queen and other members of the Royal Family are staying this week; the Scottish Parliament on the right; and the ancient rocks of Salisbury Crags looming over them in the central distance.
