Early start

Just as well we got away early to get a blip because there was a message on the answer machine when we got back from walking and a niece and husband of Trev's from Taiko announced they would be here for lunch. So good to see them and catch up on his family's gossip. We played tourist in the afternoon and drove them round all the new subdivisions and down to Kaiteriteri. Couldn't get a park.Wall to wall people in the hot sun and the tide was out.
The river up and dirty after more rain overnight and it goes right out to sea and into the bays.
Excitement over.
