Clouds Over Tasman Bay

We had more torrential rain early this morning. Alex told me he and Hannah had 104mm in their rain gauge on their property in Marahau this morning.
The weather cleared late morning and campers emerged from their tents to dry out wet gear.
We drove to Mapua to have lunch at a restaurant on the wharf. It is called the Apple Shed and the food was delicious.
The shops in the wharf area display a wonderful variety of goods...particularly homewares. After a spot of browsing and shopping in Motueka we returned to Kaiteriteri.
Late this evening we ate "real fruit" ice creams down on the beach.
I captured this cloud bank out at sea over Tasman Bay. I thought it may have been producing rain in Nelson city across the bay but a quick check of the radar on one of my apps on the iPhone showed the position of the cloud bank. Hopefully the rain has gone from the area for now and we will have some good beach weather.
