Sunlight and the Loch

The usual flurry of Sunday morning chores was followed by a trip down to the loch for a bimble. Not much wildlife to be seen just some duck type things and the swans. I heard on the radio that many birds from Scandanavia and further north have not migrated this year (due to the mild winter). I wonder if that is why the Loch is so quiet?
