Raindrops on Roses?

No roses! Not in my garden. There are plenty of overgrown bushes, an old brooding shed and a rusting watering can. People always say - usually when they are trying to be cheerful and optimistic with water running out of their shoes and their wilted hats - "Oh but it's so good for the garden!"

Really? Not this much surely? Don't the roots get soggy? Are all the plants squirming in the sodden earth moaning about having a permanently soaked bottom?

Anyway, I have shiny, wet leaves and a runny nose! Yippee! If there is a horse called 'Runny Nose' in next year's Grand National, it will run well! Hahahahahaha! Apologies for that mad moment.....
