Worth The Effort ... :o)

Having put on several layers of clothing to stay dry and keep warm, I despondently departed the warmth of the great indoors and reluctantly set off to greet the cold, damp and grey of the great outdoors on my regular Sunday morning "sunrise" stroll ... :o/

As you can probably tell by my opening sentence, I wasn't expecting much ... It was drizzling quite heavy and there was, to say the least, very little sign of the sun ... In fact, the only thing that kept my spirits up, was a slither of yellowy light on the eastern horizon ... :o|

Thirty minutes later, however, I managed to capture this image of the sun, just emerging over the island of Herm ... :o)
