Mahonia

There was another light dusting of snow on the grass when I got up this morning, but it soon disappeared and the ice melted on the pond. It has been dull all day; the sun did not shine at all.
  
After a roast lunch, instead of dinner I went into the garden to look for my picture for today and saw these ‘buds’ or are they ‘seed heads’ on my Mahonia bush. I have had it for a very long time, but I do not recall seeing these buds or any flowers, so these are my blip today.
