...no, fork 'andles!   'Andles for forks!

Forget the large DIY stores, Birch's has it all.  It is an old fashioned traditional hardware store and something of an institution in Shrewsbury.  

Four candles?  From the famous sketch on the Two Ronnies.  I was never a big fan of their show but it's one of their best known sketches and one that I've always enjoyed. To watch the sketch click here.

Thoughts of an optimistic pessimist:
Looking forward to a quiet, relaxing evening watching the Tour de France highlights on the TV. (Hoping for the best.)
I'll probably fall asleep, miss it and have recorded Come Dine with Me by mistake! (Expecting the worst.)
