ROCK 'n' ROLL

It just keeps getting better and better - today was a first for Dwelody - REAL rock climbing! We spent the day at what can only be described as a Lord of the Rings film set - a babbling brook, a massive rock - about 80ft high coming out the ground, surrounded by forest - stunning.

To say Dwelody ROCKED at rock climbing was an understatement (see photographic evidence above of Melody)- we were practically female spider men increasing the grade of the climb each time and just getting better and better. Not bad for the first time eh!? However, we were definitely trumped by a 75 year old Italian man who was clambering up the rocks with no harnesses or ropes... Mad man!

The theme from yesterday continued as Uncle Gordo took us to a bar to reward us with more beer and wine for our efforts. As Gordo put up with us two for 3 days and taking us on such amazing activities we repaid him by cooking him a meal. Sitting outside with good food, good wine and looking out across the mountains on his sun terrace was just idyllic.

As the sun set, we decorated the table with numerous candles...covering the table in wax! We laughed, put the world to rights and played a complicated Italian version of dominoes by candlelight whilst sipping on chocolate grappa (which grew on Louise, but we believe this was the alcohol talking... somehow we managed to finish the entire bottle!! As we said... Gordo is a bad influence!)... sounds perfect right? Our lives are so hard sometimes!
