Tawhiti, near Hawera . . . .
. . . . is the home of the most incredible and amazing museum I've ever visited. We went on a Whalers&Traders boat ride along a canal, with lifesize soldiers and Māori living and fighting, just as they did, during the times of the Māori wars. We saw dozens of old tractors and other farm implements, including the pit saws that were used to cut the timbers for the old old cabin on our farm! It all blew me away. This image shows one of the old buildings.
Yes a visit was made to the police this morning, about that assault 2 days ago. They're in possession of the vehicle's photo and its rego number now. The chap was definitely drunk, and probably on P.
