Legacy

Our city had a council in the 1980's that achieved fame, or infamy, because it dared, somewhat naively, to try to take on the power of Mrs.Thatcher and her central government. But it left a legacy of council houses built against the odds, and a walkway all along the Mersey from Cressington to the centre of town.
