Only just time to squeeze in a short walk this morning after the heavy rain overnight. Well, there wasn't really enough time but we went anyway while the leg of pork was cooking.

By the time we got home the pork was done but the potatoes weren't even roasting. In the end I left the meat in longer than it needed but it didn't affect the final outcome and we enjoyed a proper roast dinner all the same.

A good chat with Chris in La Jolla, they're full steam ahead with renovating their new home at the same time as having to put in the hours at work.

We spent the evening in the company of talented musicians at the Stilebridge Folk Club, in awe of their ability and knowledge. The theme this time was Misery, which is a good topic for folk singers. People are invited to do a reading or a poem as an alternative to playing or singing so as I didn't want to inflict my ukulele playing on the assembled group  I made a contribution by reading the Monty Python "We were so Poor" sketch, which went down well.
