Wet, Wet, Wet
It rained today. I mean not just rain; it absolutely bucketed it down ALL day, not giving up until this evening.
I wrapped up in all my wet weather gear for Dill's walk this morning, he didn't seem too fussed, but we both needed a good towelling down when we returned home.
Lunch time we met our group of friends known affectionately as 'the gang'. We'd booked a table at the Dirty Duck (yes I know we were there Monday as well) for the ten of us, and had a very acceptable meal and drink and good chat whilst the rain hammered down on the dining room's extension glass roof. We were in the right place (to think I had considered we could have had lunch in their garden haha).
Post lunch I met Tom to arrange his phone upgrade. Unfortunately, as with his sister, he's moved to the Dark Side and chosen an iPhone 4S. One day the whole world will be ruled by an alliance of Apple, Google and Amazon. You have been warned ;)
We managed to go the entire day without hearing the tennis scores, so it was good to settle down this evening to the Murray / Tsonga match and, for once, manage to see the whole recorded match without the BBC cutting it off in its prime.
Will this Diamond Jubilee year bring another Wimbledon winner as it did in the Silver Jubilee year of 1977? Probably not!
