Stairway to heaven

Last night's heavy downpour resulted in rainwater dripping through the ceiling onto the lounge floor. To try to prevent a repeat, today I climbed the ladders to carry out some remedial work to the gutters and the flat roof. Not the most welcome of experiences for someone with balance issues, and two years almost to the day since I fell out of the loft. There were no mishaps or Rod Hull impersonations today thankfully, and hopefully there'll be no further water irrigating the lounge over the next few days. Some proper roofing work is needed, though, and so it will be arranging builders round to quote over the next few days.
