The Make New and Mend shop in the village opened today in it's new premises - so  colourful Mai and I headed on down to have a browse and eat cake! As well as mending clothes and sewing new, she sells second hand ones and now furniture and other choice vintage items! I was very tempted by the picnic hamper in the extra! But settled for a dress and two cardigans and a pretty fairy cake! She has a terrace at the back ( she calls it her Gin Terrace!) and long windows so an excel;lent view up and down the river. Today however it was a bit overcast - torrential rain through the night that kept making an appearance on and off during the day. Major thunderstorm in the night, but as usual rumbled around and hit elsewhere - Tavistock and Gileseys place to be exact! All ok but it fried her phone line! 
Next door, through a door in fact, Homeopath Girl has a treatment room with our local  massage therapist! I had another cup of tea there and chatted photography  with her husband! What a pleasant way to spend a wet day!  Got home to find the pledge total is still climbing! :-D
