Traces!

Spent more time this morning adding more colour, changing some areas, and finding more of the 'Traces' in this painting.   I've decided to stop saying that 'i'm working on this painting'...somehow the word work puts some kind of other attitude onto what i'm doing....it's not 'playing' either...i need a word that is somewhere between 'work' and 'play'....that's what painting feels like to me.

Finding that point where to stop is as usual a difficult one.   Right now i am stopping mainly cos the paper doesn't seem to let me add more pastel....i'm taking that as a sign!

A fasting day so i'm off to make a big pot of soup!
