Black Swan

Another dreary day although it didn't rain so much this afternoon and the roads seemed a tad drier than yesterday. The garden is still half a lake however and we have also discovered a wet wall in the porch. On closer inspection we found a newspaper under the carpet, soaking wet and stains on the underneath indicate the previous owners knew this was a problem! Have town photos of the garden and will ask the gardener's advice when I see her next. One person did advise we put in a French drain, but I am not convinced it would work with the slope of the garden.

Refurb coming along nicely despite the grey paint (£65 per tin and they bought three tins ) looked pink when up on the wall so I think someone is looking to upgrade a B&Bs bedroom to pink and I have settled for Calico, which really seems to have replaced magnolia as the neutral of this decade!

Can't believe it's Friday tomorrow. This week has passed so quick! Hope my stalker has a great day in Bruges ;)
