The scan man...

Guess what? It's rained again.
The insurance man in to see the damaged cover-all shed this morning. Seems happy for me to get quotes for repairs (less a percentage for wear and tear ! )
The scanner man here to pregnancy scan wee brothers old age X ewes. Quite a few with triplets,and only 8 empty. They run up the ramp onto the trailer,Geordie sits in his wee cabin with the screen,sticks his arm out with the probe under their belly and calls out how many lambs. They get a different coloured spray  mark for each category . A far cry from the first scanning machines,when each ewe had to be man handled onto her bum in a cradle,the wool clipped off her belly,a layer of lube gel applied and then scanned.
The extra picture shows some of the horses next door enjoying the rain this morning,with the burn in full flood behind them.
