Hot, hot, hot
And still hot...
My husband told me off for taking this picture and invading this mans privacy as he made lunch in what appeared to be his 'home'. Home for him is in a dried up river bed in the middle of town. He caught my eye as I was sitting in the car waiting for Dirk outside a parts shop (number two of three visited to try and sort out a gear stick for one of the vehicles). Maybe I shouldn't have taken the picture.
It's 29 degrees in our bedroom and it's 9.30 at night, apparently it was up to 44 degrees in the workshop behind the farm house today. There is no thermometer in the house as it was appropriated to go into the workshop. According to the Norwegians - apparently the only reliable source of weather forecast - the temperature is due to go down next week and we may even be in for a treat of mid-twenties some days. This is very exciting.
Other duties in town included getting the radiator repaired for the truck, I spent quite a bit of the afternoon in our favourite coffee shop with Alex rather than spend it in the car, leaving poor Dirk to go to the third parts shop for the Toyota amongst other chores... I think I got the better deal!
