Feed bins

Dirk was despatched with the camera when he went for an evening walk to get photo of the day.  He was going up to Paddock 3 to check the feeding of the 'naughty boys'.  These are the steers who are generally well fed, full of energy, a little bit bored and thus interested in anything and everything, which can be intimidating when there is a whole gang of them.  They are being fed stock feed to get them good and big ready for market (it's a horrible, sad reality of farming).  With the cattle prices so low, everything needs to be done to increase the value of the stock. 

Today has been a very sad day after some bad news this afternoon.  It's been one of those 'conspire against you' days, with the lap top breaking (and then mending), batteries on things running out, internet banking not playing ball and so on and so forth.  Tomorrow, will be a new day and whilst there are things I wanted to get done today, they will have to wait.
