Who killed Cyril?

Despite house-prices tumbling, banks failing, unemployment rising and the high street on its knees, there is nothing like a murder mystery to spark off people's interest and imagination.

Just before lunch-time, Cyril the squirrel was found stone dead in the office car-park. There were no apparent injuries, no witnesses and no smoking gun. A poor unsuspecting colleague was later accused of the infamous deed based upon the fact that he drove off to Sainsbury's at about the time of the murder. The facts all fit. In the morning, there was no dead squirrel, after he left for Sainsbury's there was a dead squirrel - open and shut case - banged to rights if you ask me. He dun it.

Later on, someone was taking photographs of it. So perhaps that photographer (who shall remain nameless) did it, because after all, the only way to get a good close-up of a squirrel without frightening it is to kill it. But they'll never find out....or take me alive!

By the way, I have no idea if this is a grey squirrel or a red one - seems to be a bit of both.

To finish the story, it had gone after lunch.
Now that is curious.
