Beginnings

A lady is moving in next door today.  She is retiring as a colonel from the the US Army, so she is beginning a new life as civilian and and in a new neighborhood.  She bought the house last year and rented to a single fellow who worked from home.  Now, he must make a new beginning, also.  The new neighbor laughingly gave me permission not to salute her each morning in the yard.
