Fields of Gold

I have absolutely no idea whether this is barley, wheat, rye grass or something else.  But there have been fields and fields of it as I headed south.  This morning I couldn't resist stopping to photograph it.

Not quite the focus I was aiming for but it does depict the fields well.  And gives a false idea of summer sun as the last couple of days have been rain and wind!

I met up with Aragon69 and Kiwilizzie today in The Catlins.  We took a wander along the Pounawea waterfront and then sat talking for ages. I took a few photos of the inlet but they were all disappointing.
