Ushering out the Year

We had a nice morning together.  Waffles for breakfast, and and lots of play.  The girls enjoyed some Mario Kart on the Wii.  Sugar has some practice at being a good loser.  It's always fun to get two "only children" together.  :)  They actually did really well.  They play pretty easily together.  I even had some time to try to get caught up on Blip (fat chance).

In the late afternoon, we headed back to our friend's house, and enjoyed the sunset and the beautiful botanical garden and the Christmas Lights.  Stunning as usual.  I played around with my new Lensbaby Velvet 56 lens.  It really can create a dreamy photo, yes? 

We had dinner, and played some games.  Lots of chit chat and giggles.  There was an outside dance party with sparklers, and some headlights.  The girls loved it.  

We hit it on home just to driving into our driveway at midnight. Fun to hear the whoops and hollars....and the banging of pots.  We smiled, and hugged and said, "Hello!" to 2016.
