Orta via Omegna

As recommended yesterday by a lovely couple on the campsite we drove to Orta via Omegna. Exciting for me (but possibly not for many other people), Omegna is home to the Alessi design studio and factory (and maybe even more thrilling, shop). In keeping with their fantastic style there are giant versions of some of the most iconic designs as you approach.
I was a little bit overcome and spent all my pocket money on several crucial purchases. Unfortunately this enormous teapot wouldn't fit in the van.

The town of Orta, overloooking a lake of the same name was absolutely beautiful. We have been amazed every day so far at the beauty of everywhere we have driven through, stopped for a few hours or stayed overnight.

I am feeling very lucky indeed.
