Gingerbread House....

....well, sort of!  Courtney bought this "gingerbread house" for the girls several years ago. It's made of plastic and snaps together, and then the girls use frosting and candy to decorate it each year. When the season is done, you just wash it all off, take it apart & put it away until the next year. Normally they do it before Christmas, but knowing we were coming they wanted to wait until we got here so that I could do it with them, which was so sweet! We had such fun decorating it! The girls felt that every piece of candy that didn't stick to the house & fell off had to be eaten, and Courtney told them NO, that it would ruin their supper and not to put it in their mouths. So of course, being Grandma, I'D pick up the candy, give them a wink & pop it in their mouths, much to their delight!! Then Courtney would give me the fake "stink eye" & it would send the girls into fits, they were laughing so hard! I have a bit of a break today, as the girls  went for hair cuts.  Their birthday is the 5th., but we're celebrating it tonight since my son-in-laws' parents, who live nearby, could only come tonight---so the b-day decorations are up, gifts are wrapped, their dad has set off to pick up the cake, and Grandpa & I are taking a breather before the big night begins!  I'm really going to miss them all when we go back home!!   :))
