What a shock, dining al fresco this evening. We're going to pay for this, mark my words.

As I was sitting at the table I noticed the light illuminating this geranium flower. To me nothing typifies a summer evening more than the contrast between a brightly lit flower and deep shadow. Would have liked to explore this more but I'm preparing for a three day hike in the Lake District.

Cue amber weather warnings for the area. It's going to be a wet one!.
