Festive Boopert
At a mere 6.5 months (approx.) Nathan weighs a whopping 12 lbs. We think he'll most likely be the size of a St. Bernard once he's full-grown.
Summer (his sister) and the Boopert (because he boops everything and everyone) have spent most of the holiday season chasing each other up and down our Christmas tree. I decided two days in that having ornaments in it was a bridge too far, so we just had lights. And cats.
This was my revenge. *evil grin*
2015 was NOT a good year to be a cat in our house: after losing Recluse in January, Tyra became ill and was put to sleep on October 13th. Kitty became incontinent and pretty much senile in November - and then gradually faded away, until she stopped eating entirely over Christmas. We took her to the vet on December 26th.
They were all over 18 and lived rather awesome lives with us - I'm happy to be able to say at least that, though having to call the vet a third time made me a little scared we'd find the RSPCA on our doorstep :/
It was a good year to become a cat in our house though, as we pretty much found the homeless kittens on our doorstep in August. We now know where they came from, originally, and I have fought the urge to beat up the people that treated them so poorly that these kittens still feel the need to eat whatever they can get their paws on, in case they'll go so terribly hungry again.
