Potsdamer Platz - Tiergarten - Hauptbahnhof (for Eis) - Hambuger Bahnhof - U Bahn 6 - S Bahn 75 - U Bahn 5 - Frankfurter Allee
In my head this picture is much greater than it is. It hangs behind hovering perspex; printed flaulessly, life-size. It is callled an artist's children - one playing dead, one about to disrupt the art
heehee
art is a funny old business - I saw these chairs and love, loved them and then I saw Alice careering towards them and I thought don't touch. No, sorry. I didn't think don't touch - I shouted DON'T TOUCH. Then I thought how daft - surely these aren't for just looking at? come on?
I am not going to analyse this just now (or ever) and I am not even being remotely critical of the work - my approach to art is very open and very welcoming and very liberal. I love the questions that art throws at me and I am happy to say that I have very rarely come out of a major art gallery and thought well, that wasn't art That isn't to say that I have never come out of an art gallery and thought what a load of shite But, I have always thought what a load of shite art not that's not art
Wow. I am getting into some kind of aesthetics argument (a piffly one, at that) with myself. I shall leave it there for this evening. And I shall return tomorrow after a day of making work. Then I will be quick to declare what is and what isn't. Maybe.
Also - a woman pushed Rudy out of a lift.
Also - the wine is very cheap (?2 for a not bad bottle)
Also - perhaps my half-baked art thoughts are related to the second of my 'also points' and maybe the first as well.
ok.
