the circus came to town

well to a large village on the edge of town to be accurate.
This is the circus at about 4pm, waiting for everyone to arrive, with a feeling of anticipation.
I've never been to a circus.
Sorry my blipping has been hurried over the last few days, and my commenting a bit spasmodic, not to say terse. I don't think you'll see an improvement today, either, as I am rushing to get things done before going out to see "the angels' share" with Ithaca. Promise to try to get better at the weekend!
