Hornet nest

At least that's what I think it is. I started taking a more rural drive to work - takes the same amount of time but avoids a lot of annoying traffic. And I see this nest hanging in a tree every day, finally stopped to take a photo. 

The weather has been so gloomy and gray, and it doesn't look like much is going to change.
