Blip: new definitions

Until December 2011, I only a knew a few meanings of the word "blip." Since starting to post photographs on Blipfoto, my understanding of the meaning of the word has changed totally. I thought New Year's Day would be a good day to attempt my own, new definitions.

Other meanings of the noun "blip:"

1. A repetitive sound, such as that produced by an electronic device, by dripping water, etc.
2. A temporary irregularity recorded in performance of something.
3. A very short high sound made by an electronic device.
4. Something that is small or unimportant or that does not last a long time.
5. A trace on a display screen (as an oscilloscope); especially :  a spot on a radar screen.
6. A short crisp sound.
7. An interruption of the sound received in a radio or television program or occurring in a recording as a result of blipping. 
8. A transient sharp movement up or down (as of a quantity commonly shown on a graph).
9. Something relatively small or inconsequential within a larger context.
10. A Small spot of light sometimes with a short sharp sound,  that appears on a computer screen. 
11. A temporary change that does not have any special meaning. 
12. A temporary or insignificant phenomenon, especially a brief departure from the normal.
13. An individual Google Wave message.
14. A mark, line or spot on a medium, such as microfilm, that is optically sensed and  used for timing or counting purposes.

PS The keen-eyed amongst you may notice that I have had to replace my original photograph. The wording of the first new definition referred-to an "online daily journal" which of course is tautologous, a journal being, by definition, a daily record of something. Sorry about that.
