Birthday girl

Just looking at that tail will tell you exactly how pleased she was with herself for finding this small tree on her morning walk. Sadly she only managed to drag it about halfway down the high road before realising the impracticalities. But you know, good for her for trying and all that. Today has been pretty exciting for her and she seemed to enjoy being sung to before being given her dinner. She sadly was unable to attend to hear her birthday shout out at the pantomime in the afternoon but we all enjoyed it. And I think it's fair to say she loved the excitement of having lots of people around in the evening.

Though of course that was not for her but for our New Year's Eve party. So this should probably be a picture of a cocktail, some delicious food, playing Yankee Swap, the name game, or a bit of Auld Lang Syne but as it's her first birthday I'm indulging myself with an Albi blip.

On a reflective note, it's tempting to say we're glad to see the back of 2015 and it is definitely true that we very much have our eyes in a forward direction but I don't want to write off a whole year. There have been many good things and reasons to be happy and grateful. And seeing in the new year with some of our very favourite people in the world is just one of them.
