Elterwater flood

Storm Frank hit us last night in Langdale and the low beck this morning had become a raging river. By lunchtime the rain had stopped and fortunately there didn't appear to be any damage.

We had gone out for the day without my camera so when we got back I grabbed my camera and took this photo late afternoon, almost dark, of the flood plain around Elterwater. Flooding happens quite often here so this scene isn't that unusual. I guess our destruction of flood plains like this is part of the flood problem we have created.
