Derelict

I've passed this ruined building a few times now, but I'm still no nearer to finding out for certain what it is. It's one of a pair - its twin is opposite - so I assume they were gatehouses, possibly something to do with Ammerdown House. Unfortunately, they are on the other side of a padlocked gate that's topped with barbed wire, and the site is surrounded by brambles and hedges so I can't get a better view of them.

Thank you for the positive comments on Elder Son's new job. It's fair to say that he is a very happy bunny these days! The boss decided to leave two hours' early and work from home for the rest of the day, so she dropped Rob off at home, a 12-mile detour for her. And that seems typical of how she treats her staff!
