Merry xmas

So, today for 3 in a row.

3 successes with xmas dinner was the aim today. This is the third year my sister in law and myself had to live up to my mams reputation for xmas dinner. And as frequently stated on reality tv programmes 'we smashed it'.

We did it again. Turkey cooked, veg pleasant, chipolates lovely, the token sprouts looked good apart from a little singe, ,no lumpy gravy and all went well. All stuffed as usual and a good day had by all.

My teenage daughter was watching tv and we all commented on how much the xmas film she was watching sounded exactly like the munchkins on the wizard of oz. Only to be told she had switched channels and was in fact watching the wizard of oz. So we all joined her and watched this family classic. This was after the queen had spoken to us all and wished us all a happy xmas.

At this point i usually tell the same tale every year about my little nephew when he was two banging on a drum all through the queens speech. (He's now 20).

The end of the film, tidying up complete, left overs distributed evenly for the next day we said our goodbyes, and made our way home for a well earned little tipple whilst the last ever Downton Abbey was on. All ended happily thankfully but sad all the same.

So with 3 in a row successfully complete I wish you all a merry xmas.
