Merry Christmas

For the second year I've made christmas dinner in the absence of my beloved mam. It went well, following the instructions she left us 2 years ago.

The turkey was cooked, the brussels nearly burnt, some might not have found it quite a disaster! we had all the trimmings.

We had 2 extra guests than last year they must have heard how good my cooking was last year, it was good to see them and have their company and conversation. I think they enjoyed it too.

It was nice having all the family together which doesn't happen often enough but today was lovely.

I'm now at home having had a little glass of port and now a glass of wine in my new wine glass but unfortunately as I have had a good day I can only have a little glass.

Just settling down now waiting for Downton Abbey.

So after a good day, thoughts of those not with us, a little sad moment for those left alone I wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I have had a good day, hope you have too.
