Hunting the Wren on Stephen's Day

At home in the Isle of Man on the 26 th Dec , we hunt the wren but in these more civilised times thankfully we no longer stone it to death as revenge for its ancestors giving St Stephen away by its chattering sounds,and having such a death imposed on this first Christian martyr .
