They're Here!

The Eagle has landed in the shape of Budapest boy and his partner. They have flown in for four days, but just like the Bible story, there is no room at our inn, and with no stable round the back in which to shelter, they have had to rent a serviced flat nearby.

With all their siblings scattered to the four corners of the world this Christmas, I will not have to share their time here with any one else. I am selfishly happy and looking forward to some seasonal hilarity.

Terence the turkey, beheaded and defeathered was brought home in the manner of hunter gathering in the dark at 7:30 am. He is now. resting in the fridge encased in his own special see through cloak, amid enough food to feed an army on the move.
I have never really got used to shops being open most of the time. In my growing up days, a holiday meant a holiday and no shops would be open for the duration. I suppose that it why there was always the battle of the elderly elbows over the last loaves of bread in the bakery.
