Spring freshness

Had another house-bound day today.

Yesterday I formulated a vague idea to walk along the Boulder Bank to some old huts that are over there. That didn't happen though - instead I spent the day on the phone and infront of the computer doing some work-related stuff. I headed outside for some fresh air a few times during the day and noticed that the grey dampness from the morning gradually cleared into a beautiful clear blue sky day. One thing that didn't change though was the wind. It has blown long and hard all day - and is still blowing now!

These leaves looked so gorgeous late in the afternoon with the bright sun highlighting their fresh, colourful new growth. It's the same tree I took a picture of in the autumn..........it really is quite a stunning specimen!
