Kingoodie
This is a closer view of the area you can see in the distance in yesterdays Blip. The banks of the Tay just south of here until a couple of years ago were used to cultivate reeds for thatching. Thatched roofs are scarce in Scotland but the reeds were sought after I believe. Unfortunately cheaper foreign reeds have replaced one of the few British sources left and the beds are returning to nature.
